Dr. Jesus Devesa is the Medical Director and alma mater of the Foltra Foundation. Professor of Physiology, Specialist Endocrinologist and Magister of Advanced Therapies, Professor Devesa is one of the world's leading experts in the field of brain regeneration. His continuous study and research over 40 years and medical experience has led to him revolutionizing the treatment of neurological damage, by ensuring that patients with brain lesions - of traumatic and congenital origin - and of spinal pathologies improve even when it has been indicated that there is no possibility of recovery or minimal recovery only.

The Foltra Project was born in 2006 under the medical direction of Professor Dr Jesus Devesa Múgica, consolidating in 2008 with the inauguration of the Sanitary Centre authorized by the Department of Health of the Xunta de Galicia with Registry nº15002173.

The AP Foltra Centre is a centre for the physical and intellectual rehabilitation of patients with neurological, central or peripheral damage, congenital or acquired, once the first stage of their hospital care is completed. The AP Foltra Centre treats a series of neurological pathologies such as infantile cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accidents, degenerative diseases , among others. Thus far they have treated over 8000 patients with different disorders.

The AP Foltra Centre under Dr Devesa's management has won the Top Neuro-rehabiltation centre in Spain again in 2020.
