Foltra Foundation Treatment: South Africa

The treatment developed by Dr. Jesus Devesa is available in South Africa. The Foltra Foundation has made the treatment available via the Representative for the Foltra Foundation in Southern Africa: Cheryl Johnston. Cheryl provides the treatment according to the rules and regulations governing the South African Medical Industry, as well as those of Dr. Jesus Devesa, and the Foltra Foundation. In 2018 Dr Jeannes was appointed by Cheryl Johnston (with authorisation from Dr Devesa) as Lead Practitioner - Cape Town and Dr Mon was appointed by Cheryl Johnston  (with authorisation from Dr Devesa) as Chief Clinician - Johannesburg.

The use of the treatments provided by Dr Jesus Devesa based on his research findings is showing results in patients that are being treated, and are adhering to treatment protocols. The brain is regenerated at its own pace along with intensive rehabilitation that ensures the further harnessing of new, available neuroplasticity.

The treatments that Dr Jesus Devesa has provided could be a critical form of treatment for those who have not recovered from congenital or acquired brain damage,  lessen the long term financial burden on families and institutions, whilst providing the patient with an opportunity to have a good quality of life and in many cases enable them to return to a productive life where they are able to contribute to society.

Evidence of the success of treatment is based on the data of 8000 plus patients, with most scientific evidence lying in molecular research studies, and case studies. The cumulative, convergence of evidence indicates that treatment may be effective, however due to constraints in Spain, Clinical Trials have not been undertaken.

Clinical Trials

The NeuroReGen Initiative (CJ-CMS) is considering carrying out Clinical Trials in South Africa and is currently appealing for funds for Phase 1 trials. Should you be interested in funding or being involved in the Clinical Trials, please contact Cheryl Johnston.
